Fernando Tormos-Aponte, an assistant professor and the Marianna Brown Dietrich Breakthrough Scholar at the Dietrich School, won an American Sociological Association award. Tormos-Aponte was announced the winner of the Distinguished Early Career Scholar Award in the Collective Behavior and Social Movement Section of the ASA at the end of march.
The ASA will present the award to Tormos-Aponte at their business meeting later this year.
