Join the Dietrich School's Department of Economics for the next part of their McKay Lecture series sponsored by the McKay Fund. The lecture is on March 29 from 2-3:30 p.m in the Frick Fine Arts Auditorium and is open to the public. This year’s lecturer is John A. List who will be speaking on the topic “Leveraging Private Sector Data to Help Inform Major Social Challenges.”
List is a Kenneth C. Griffin Distinguished Service Professor in Economics at the University of Chicago. He was elected a Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2011 and a Fellow of the Econometric Society in 2015. His lecture will go over how most recent research has been in partnership with NGOs and governments and how field research in the private sector has been largely untouched.
List is also an author, and his most recent book, The Voltage Effect, was published in 2022.
