Professor Michael Ramsey, a professor in the Department of Geology and Environmental Science in the Dietrich School has been appointed by NASA to be part of the science development team for the upcoming Surface Biology and Geology (SBG) Mission. SBG is one of the first missions being developed for NASA’s new Earth System Observatory (ESO), which will provide key information to guide efforts related to climate change, natural hazard mitigation, fighting forest fires, and improving real-time agricultural processes.
