Carolyn is the post-award sponsored projects administrator for the Departments of Physics and Astronomy, Geology and Environmental Sciences, and part of the Neuroscience Department. She has been a part of Pitt staff for over 10 years, working in various research groups from education to trauma surgery. She has experience working in University cost centers through her time at LRDC’s Institute for Learning and School of Engineering’s Petersen Institute of Nanoscience & Engineering. In 2016, she moved from research operations to grant administration where she was a part of the Department of Surgery’s LITES Initiative.
Carolyn earned both a Bachelor of History and Urban Studies (A&S ’10) and a Master of Public Administration degree from Pitt (GSPIA ’14). Later she earned her Certified Research Administrator (CRA) in 2018. Outside of work, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her husband and three mischievous cats as well as reading, gaming, and working on various DIY projects.
