Sexual Assualt Awareness Month 2025

During April, Prevention at Pitt will once again lead efforts for Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). This month provides opportunities for the Pitt community and beyond to come together in support of survivors, deepen our awareness of sexual misconduct on campus and explore strategies to eliminate sexual violence from our campus. Sexual Misconduct can impact anyone, in any community, at any time. It is our collective responsibility to foster safer, consent-centered environments.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month and here at the Dietrich School, we support survivors. If you or someone you know is looking for help, we have created a list of resources below.

About SAAM:

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). SAAM is a time for the Pitt community to come together to support survivors, increase knowledge and awareness, and identify strategies to eliminate sexual violence from our campus. Prevention at Pitt, the university’s new Office for Sexual Violence Prevention & Education, has created a calendar of events for SAAM to create space for education, dialogue, and survivor support.
